Services and Pricing

All service calls will be logged and scheduled using the helpdesk ticketing system.

There are a few price structures depending if it is drop-off, on-site, remote support, or project-based work. These are referred to as "My Place, Your Place, or Cyberspace"

"My Place"

Certain types of repairs and upgrades regardless of the actual time it takes to do the repair have flat rate pricing (per computer). You can schedule a time to drop and pickup your computer yourself or arrange for full-service pickup and delivery.

  • Minimum of $25 bench fee to diagnose problem (applied to bill if customer authorizes service)
  • Just $50 to install Linux - $100 for Windows or Mac upgrades and re-installs.
  • Maximum of $150 for Windows or Mac data migration OS install, Software Updates, plus the actual cost of parts (if necessary).

 

"Your Place"

On-site work in Sarasota County is priced at $25 per 20 minute increment, with a One Hour minimum. Service is generally limited to setting up new equipment, installing software, and tutoring. Data migration can most likely be done onsite, but it is generally more cost effective for you to have it done at my place, especially when it comes to things like virus cleanup. If the job is expected to take more than 2-3 hours, "My Place" service will be encouraged.

  • Wireless Networking and Site Surveys
  • New Computer installation and account creation
  • Data Backup or Recovery
  • Memory installs and upgrades

"Cyberspace"

Just about anything that can be done from your desk can be also be done over a secure Internet connection. This of course assumes a fairly good-working PC, and some things may require minimal assistance from the customer. Some things such as website or server maintenance agreements do not require your presence.

$40 for basic troubleshooting under 45 minutes, $70 for up to 90 minutes.

  • Remote Screen Sharing Assistance
  • Using the Internet and e-mail
  • Installing Software or Printers
  • Configuring a Data Backup Sync Method

"Cyberspace" Remote Desktop support is encouraged as a means to troubleshoot the problem and possibly get back up and running within minutes of your call. Same day service can be provided sometimes minutes after you call for help! If, by utilizing remote support we establish the problem must be solved in person, the portion of your bill will be applied to the remaining portion of the service call.

Larger Custom Project prices vary based on the scope of work and time-span to completion.
