Pricing
Off-Site (My place)
For software repairs, OS upgrades and anything taking more than a couple hours, off-site repair is the most affordable option. Turnaround time for most repairs is under 3 business days unless parts need to be ordered.
- Customer Drop-off / Pickup to my repair facility $100 flat rate per machine (plus parts)
- Pickup, repair and drop-off service to customer location $150 for the first machine, and $100 each additional (must all be picked up / dropped off together)
- Factory CD's must be present - pricing for obtaining replacement OS media will vary based on software platform and hardware vendor
- If equipment is not in satisfactory condition to perform work there will still be a minimum $25 inspection/bench charge
On-Site (Your place)
For on-site service, computers must generally be in good working order - hardware and software upgrades, tutorials and light cleanup will be performed. Customers can supply their own software or buy from the website.
- $75 per hour (one-hour minimum) then 20-minute increments within the local service area
- Customer must hold a valid software license for products installed
- Must pre-schedule for an evening or weekend visit
OS re-installs and virus removals will only be done on-site at the technician's discretion and may be subject to a higher hourly rate. Off-site repair is highly recommended so all updates can be applied - this also allows for adequate time to test.
Remote (Cyberspace)
Remote support requires that customer be present to authorize the technician to take control of the PC and may require additional intervention to assist the technician with physical limitations. (cabling, print and toner cartridges, etc.) A high-speed Internet connection is required for remote screen sharing.
- Remote Desktop Support $55 per hour (software support and external hardware device support)
- Website updates and maintenance of customer-supplied content - site modifications and artistic work will be given a custom estimate.
- Includes toll-free phone support to Land line phones in the US & Canada (per-minute rate charges may apply if you use a cell phone)
- Web-based support works for Windows and Mac, and many Linux clients.
- New accounts may be subject to a credit/debit authorization before work is performed.
Custom
Any work or project that does not fit the aforementioned criteria will be considered a custom job. Price will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Examples of custom work includes, but is not limited to:
- Web Design or recurring scheduled maintenance plans
- Custom-built PCs and/or OS installations tailored to your needs
- Personalized OS installs (beyond factory restore and software update) - removal of unwanted software and installation of 3rd party software
- Data backup performed by the technician
- Data recovery from a non-booting Operating System
